Marshall Heights/Eastgate
Weed & Seed Program
The Marshall Heights/Eastgate
Weed & Seed program is a local initiative sponsored by the
U.S. Department of Justice to
"weed out" violent crime, gang activity and drug trafficking
through law enforcement and community policing, and then "seed"
areas through prevention and neighborhood revitalization.
The Marshall Heights/Eastgate Weed
& Seed Neighborhood Advisory Board organizes activities in
the Marshall Heights neighborhood and supports four local Safe
Havens -- places where youth can go after school to learn, grow
and feel safe in their community.
Each Safe Haven offers a variety
of services for youth and adults. The sites teach youth
to resist drugs and crime and avoid other neighborhood problems.
For more information or to volunteer, please contact one of the
Safe Havens listed below.
