Housing

MHCDO believes that safe, clean and affordable housing is critical to the stability and prosperity of families and neighborhoods in Ward 7.  We renovate and build homes, educate and assist aspiring homeowners, and help individuals and families to stabilize their housing situation through counseling services and supportive housing.

In September 2003, MHCDO released Housing For All: An Affordable Housing Action Plan for the District of Columbia’s Ward 7. The document is the result of a three-month collaboration with The Annie E. Casey Foundation to identify and prioritize housing needs in Ward 7 neighborhoods, and to establish strategies and partnerships to address those needs.
