The Eastside
Village Project is an effort to bring together residents, community
organizations and government agencies from Ward 7 in the District of
Columbia and Prince George’s County, Maryland to seek joint solutions to
common problems along our border.
The shared vision for achieving a higher
quality of life for Eastside Village residents
includes:
- Creating clean, safe and healthy
neighborhoods for residents of all income levels
- Expanding economic growth in the
region
- Strengthening and preserving the
unique character of the neighborhoods
To
achieve this vision, Eastside Village organizers
recently created four Citizen Advisory Committees to work on the
following issues: Housing and Economic Development, Workforce
Development, Health and Community Wellness, and Public
Safety.
