Cultural Tourism DC: "A Preview -- The New National Museum of African American History and Culture"
The Smithsonian's 19th museum, to be built on the National Mall, will be the only national museum devoted to the documentation of African American life, art, history, and culture. Its collections and exhibitions will cover topics as varied as slavery, post-Civil Ward Reconstruction, the Harlem Renaissance, and the Civil Rights Movement.
