From Downtown Washington, DC
You can get to MHCDO from the downtown area by getting to H St. NE via H St. NW, Massachusetts Ave. or New York Ave. Stay on H St. NE until it becomes Benning Rd. NE (at Hechinger Mall). Stay on Benning Rd. Cross over the bridge and stay on Benning Rd. for one more block. MHCDO will be on your right, at the corner of 40th St. NE and Benning Rd. (opposite Stewart Funeral Home).

You can also get to MHCDO from Downtown by taking 15th St.or 17th St. across Constitution Ave. and by getting onto Independence Ave. at the Tidal Basin. Follow the signs for Maine Ave. and get on the Southeast/Southwest Freeway. Exit the freeway at Pennsylvania Ave, cross the bridge and make a left onto Minnesota Ave. (at the traffic circle). Stay on Minnesota across East Capitol St (1-11/2 miles) and proceed to Benning Rd. Make a right onto Benning Rd. and MHCDO is located at the top of the hill at 40th St. (opposite the Stewart Funeral Home) on the right.

From Upper Northwest / Silver Spring / Chevy Chase
Get on Military Rd. and at Georgia Ave. NW cross Georgia Ave. to Missouri Ave. Follow Missouri Ave. across North Capitol St. and follow sign to South Dakota Ave. NE. Take South Dakota Ave. to end and get onto New York Ave (Route 50 East). Take NY Ave./Rt. 50 to the exit for Kenilworth Ave./I-295 South. Stay on 295 South for almost 2 miles and exit at Minnesota/Burroughs. At stop sign make a left onto Burroughs Ave. and after going under 295 make your first right (Minnesota Ave.). Stay on Minnesota past the Metro Station and at Benning Rd. (the 1st major intersection) make a left and MHCDO is at the top of the hill at 40th St. (opposite the Stewart Funeral Home) on the right.

From Virginia
Using either I-395/95 or I-66 to the GW Parkway cross into DC via the 14th St. Bridge. Stay to your right following signs to 395 North. Get onto the Southeast/Southwest Freeway and exit at Pennsylvania Ave., cross the bridge and make a left at Minnesota Ave. (at the traffic circle). Stay on Minnesota Ave. across East Capitol St. (1-1/2 miles) and proceed to Benning Rd. Make a right onto Benning Rd. and MHCDO is located at the top of the hill at 40th St. (opposite Stewart Funeral Home) on the right.

From Virginia via the Beltway
Take Beltway across the Wilson Bridge and get onto I-295 North. Follow it past RFK Stadium and exit at Minnesota/Burroughs. At light make a right and then your 1st right onto Minnesota Ave. Stay on Minnesota Ave past the Metro Station and at Benning Rd. (the 1st major intersection) make a left and MHCDO is at the top of the hill at 40th St. (opposite the Stewart Funeral Home) on the right.

From Maryland via the Beltway
Take the Beltway to the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (I-295) and exit going south. Stay on I-295 towards Richmond and exit at the Minnesota/Burroughs exit. At the stop sign make a left onto Burroughs Ave., and after going under 295 make your first right onto Minnesota Ave. Stay on Minnesota Ave. past the Metro Station and at Benning Rd. (the first major intersection) make a left and MHCDO is at the top of the hill at 40th St. (opposite Stewart Funeral Home) on the right.
